Brief History
Founded in August, 1966, our school mostly recruited students into
engineering and administration departments. As a result of rapidly
increasing global character of our world, proficiency at the E-language
became more than required, especially in fields such as trading,
diplomacy, academics and politics. To foster talents for foreign
languages, our school established in August, 2000, the Department of
Applied Foreign Language, recruiting students for 2-year junior college
program. In 2001, two classes for 2-year junior college Japanese
program and two classes for 2-year junior college English program in
evening division were added, as well as a class for 2-year junior
college English program in the continuing education department. Because
of its outstanding school-running, the Department was approved by the
Ministry of Education to establish four-year-institute program;
therefore, one class for the daytime four-year English program and one
class for two-year-institute English program in the continuing education
department were added. In the 2003 school year, one class was detracted
from 2-year junior college Japanese program. In the academic year
(2005), the Department of Applied Foreign Languages was divided into the
Department of Applied English and the Department of Applied Japanese.
Currently, the Department of Applied English accommodates 11 classes;
they are grouped in terms of programs as follows:
*Four
classes for the daytime four-year-institute program.
*Two
classes for the four-year-institute program in the
evening division.
*
Three classes for the two-year-junior-college program in the
Continuing
education
department.
* Two
classes for the two-year-institute program in the
continuing education department.
